Process
As this project is still ongoing I am unable to share too much but here are a few process highlights to get you excited! I'd be happy to go through the project in more detail during an interview.
Completed a research audit to understand the problem space and identify any knowledge gaps.
From workshops to design sprints, I have collaboratively diverged and converged on many different ideas and creative solutions to the problem.

A template showing how we could move users from retrieval to discovery or a 'hot to cold' content pattern
Collaborated with other designers, such as the App Design System team, to ensure I am using a native first approach for both iOS and Android.
Conducted multiple rounds of research including UserZooms and moderated in depth interviews, for which I created personalised stimulus and used the insights to iterate on my designs.
Regularly shared my project work with senior stakeholders across design, product and engineering to create an open line of communication and a collaborative atmosphere.

A template showing how my retrieval proposal could flex across all 'host' apps such as Sounds, iPlayer, News
Research showed that 14/14 participants felt the proposal was better than the current 'My' spaces. This validated our design approach of a retrieval to discovery flow, and hot to cold content pattern.
My UX process turned a complex, foggy problem space into a tangible proposal that effectively illustrated to senior stakeholders how we can help users consistently retrieve and discover more from the BBC.
Senior stakeholders used my work on this project to pitch for the creation of a new engineering team, dedicated to building the features that make up this proposal.

Personalisation
Research has found one of the top BBC user needs is to access and retrieve the content you care about via actions such as follow, subscribe and bookmark.
Secondary to this is the need to discover new content in a more implicit, algorithmic way, which has been made an expectation by social media companies who seamlessly surface the right content, at the right moment.
Pan BBC
Another issue is that a lot of our customers are single product users, and unaware that there is a plethora of content for them in other BBC spaces. This reflects a crucial business need to bring the BBC together for our users and break down internal product silos.
I have been tasked with exploring how we can make the retrieval of actioned content easier for our users, as well as more consistent and fluid between all BBC apps, resulting in a more Integrated BBC. Furthermore, how might we use this retrieval need as a moment to hand off to the Discovery UX team, who are looking at personalised cross-product recommendations.
